Originally beginning during the early 1930’s in London, the organisation moved to northern England in 1940. Throughout it has remained a family business with the third generation of the family running operations today.

For the past 75 years Kilfrost has pioneered de-icing technology.  Our world-renowned R & D specialists continue to enhance today’s fluids, using on-site wind tunnels, cold chambers and their technical expertise to test, evaluate and manufacture new products. Research today concentrates on development of fluids that meet, and exceed, the ever increasing environmental demands of our customers and more importantly the world’s water authorities.

Our core aircraft de/anti-icing products are made in the UK and also under licence in the USA, Scandinavia and the Far East. These fluids are then exported world-wide.  Today and for the future Kilfrost is looking at new and emerging markets where our expertise gives us the market edge.

Over the company’s long standing history Kilfrost has formulated an excellent logistics system, ensuring delivery to the right place, at the right time.  We respond to customer demand at any time of night or day, whatever the weather, using a network of approved hauliers and a 24 hour, 7 days a week helpline.
