CIM is a non-toxic, non-flammable, highly effective ice melter specially formulated for general purpose ground de-icing of walkways, platforms, steps and car parks. A granular product, CIM can be scattered by (gloved) hand or mechanical grit type spreader. Typical application rate is 50g/m².

As well as being an effective ice melter, simulated tests have shown that CIM is well suited for overnight anti-icing on walkway surfaces against freezing fog (application rate ~60g/m²).

Additionally, CIM contains an additive to help provide a non-slip surface after eventual loss of chemical ice melting performance.

CIM is conveniently supplied in moisture resistant plastic sacks containing 12.5 kg (sufficient to fill a typical sized hand operated grit spreader).

Storage - CIM is hygroscopic material which should be stored in tightly sealed containers to prevent the ingress of moisture. Moisture pickup with this material has a tendency to cause caking and care should be taken to store the product in a dry environment.
